Terms & Conditions
It is recommended that you purchase some form of Holiday Insurance from your local broker to cover your holiday.
Booking and Payment
All telephone bookings and Internet bookings are provisional until the payment has been received. A deposit or the full amount is payable on submission of your booking form, we reserve the right to offer the dates to another customer if we do not received your payment.
A non-refundable deposit of £100.00 per week (+ any supplements) will secure your booking instantly (payable by bank transfer or debit/credit cards).
All balances are payable by BANK TRANSFER only.
Damage Bond Payment
A £50.00 Bond Payment is required two weeks before your start date, this is payable using Credit/Debit Card
instructions will be provided on how to pay, the £50 bond is refunded back to the same card or account after a satisfactory inspection of the caravan.
Any damage to the caravan, carpet damage, missing, soiled, damaged bedding / linen, any breakage, excessive cleaning etc will be deducted accordingly.
All our caravans are kept to a high standard, cleaned by ourselves after each and every booking, you will find the caravan in a very clean, tidy, fully equipped condition, we respectfully ask that the caravan be left in a similar condition.
If you do find any issues during your stay please notify us immediately so we can address the problem straight away. Thank you.
All supplements and ferry charges must be paid along with your £100.00 per week deposit payment
The total balance for the holiday must be settled before eight weeks to the start date. (a cancellation or charge may apply for late payments)
No deposits will be refunded for cancelled bookings.
We will contact you via email when your balance is due "roughly 9 weeks before the start date"
Late payments may result in the loss of the booking and will "or may" occur a Late Payment Charge of £45.00
If you make a booking less than eight weeks before the start date the total holiday amount will be payable at the time of booking.
The caravans are normally hired out Saturday to Saturday.

Holiday guests are asked to treat our holiday homes with respect and make sure that you leave it as you found it in a clean and tidy condition,
you will be held liable for any damages to the caravan, it’s contents or excessive un cleanliness. We inspect and clean the caravans ourselves after every customer booking. We are unable to accept single sex parties or groups bookings under the age of 25 as this is a family holiday park.
(unless pre-arranged and accepted with ourselves and the parks management).
No more than 8 persons are allowed to stay in our 8 berth caravans, no more than 6 persons are allowed to stay in our 6 berth caravan
Only the names listed on the original booking form are allowed to stay in the caravans, guests not named on the booking form are not allowed to stay unless pre-agreed with ourselves. Anyone found staying without our knowledge will be asked to leave.
Thorness bay and or Sandhills Holiday Park reserve the right to ask any party to leave the site should any behaviours be unacceptable or cause a nuisance to any other holiday makers. (you would not receive any refund)
Smoking is NOT permitted within any parts of our caravan. please smoke outside,
please do not put used cigarettes in the caravan bins! or on the grass outside.
We DO NOT and have never allowed pets in any of our caravans.
Anyone breaking this rule will be asked to leave immediately and will occur all costs and all losses caused to ourselves and any other guests staying in the caravan after.
Thorness Bay Club passes are only available from reception, you must pay Thorness Bay directly at their Reception if you wish to purchase passes
When Ferry Crossing are booked via us
Where ferry crossing are booked via us, price on application, ferries are only booked once we receive the payment.
We use both Redfunnel Ferries from Southampton to East Cowes. We also use Wightlink ferries from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, Lymington to Yarmouth.
An admin charge of £30 applies for any changes to ferry tickets once booked.
The maximum allowed vehicles is 2 per caravan.
Arrival and Departure
On day of arrival you can check-in from 3.00pm. On day of departure the caravan must be vacated by 10.00am
(this is so we can get the caravan ready for the next guests)
Thorness Bay Customers:- You will find the key inside a Key Safe Box attached to the caravan outside of the door.
Bed Linen Hire
Bed linen hire is available when booked in advance for £45.00 per booking
You MUST ! provide your own bed linen if not hired from us.
We can not stress this enough! Damaged or Soiled bed linen or Mattresses will occur a charge for replacement.
things like Sun tan oil, blood, food grease DO NOT CLEAN OUT
Kids with Crayons or felt tip Pens !!
Please supervise your children with crayons and felt tip pens, the removal from walls / cushions and other none paper surfaces will result in you getting a cleaning or repair bill, please respect our caravans and leave them as you found them.
Admin charge of £45.00 applies to all late balance payments. Balance required 8 weeks before the start date.
(for late payments you must contact us to arrange and inform us when the payment will be settled),
this must agreed between both parties and must be settled on or before the agreed date.
Cancellations and Refunds
Should the caravan become unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control a full refund will be given.
If you need to cancel your holiday, you must notify us in writing or email asap. The date of cancellation is the day when we receive written notification.
In the event of cancellation, charges will apply as laid out below.
If you have to cancel the holiday due to accident or illness, written confirmation will be required along with a doctor’s note.
If you cancel more than 42 days (six weeks) before your start date, then you will forfeit your deposit.
If you cancel within 42 days (six weeks) you will be liable for the following percentages of the total holiday cost (excluding deposit): *
Cancellation between 21-42 days before holiday start date: 50% *
Cancellation between 14-20 days before holiday start date: 60% *
Cancellation within 13 days before holiday start date: 100%
Late Deals and Short Breaks
All last minute / late deals or short breaks are payment in full by bank transfer and are none refundable.
We do not own the caravan site’s therefore cannot accept responsibility for alterations to facilities from those advertised.
